Every year, Kiawah Island Golf Resort celebrates Easter in grand style. Many of our guests have made a holiday getaway to our resort a beloved annual tradition because it delivers fun for all ages.

Join us for our first Oyster Roast & BBQ of the 2019 season! Come out and enjoy an authentic Lowcountry experience at Kiawah’s most popular family outing. Shuck fresh roasted oysters while watching the sun set on the Kiawah River, or dance under the moonlight to the sounds of ‘The Island Trio’. Kids can enjoy a complimentary craft and hair braiding. In addition to oysters, our banquet team is offering a number of Southern BBQ specialties; ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, steaks and a bounty of sides including loaded potato skins, salads and an island favorite, mac and cheese. Take in some of Kiawah’s wildlife with our Naturalists as they present live reptiles native to Kiawah; and be sure to peruse some local artisan’s works at our craft market.

Join us for a memorable Easter Sunday with close family, good friends and a tantalizing variety of food, drink and of course a special visit from the Easter Bunny in the Grand Oaks Ballroom at The Sanctuary. Sunrise Yoga on the Beach

This yoga class will provide a perfect start to your Easter Sunday! Take in the amazing view of the sun rising over the beach with slower-paced vinyasa class designed to wake you up, increase your strength and flexibility, and leave you ready to take on your day. Easter Egg Hunt & Toss
Easter Sunday | 10am | Night Heron Park
An Easter family tradition! Bring the whole family to Night Heron Park for our annual Easter Egg Hunt & Toss. Age groups will be divided prior to beginning the hunt, which starts promptly at 10am. Please bring your own basket. The Easter Egg toss will directly follow the Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos beginning at 9:30am. Admission is complimentary.

Sand Sculpting Contest

The Nature Program is taking the “egg” hunt to the water! Equipped with paddles and nets, you and your partner will take to a kayak in search for “eggs” scattered throughout the salt marsh. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Footwear is required, flip flops and slides not recommended. This is exclusive for the two weeks of Easter, and space is limited. Join a Naturalist as we explore Kiawah’s nature nightlife. On the 18th, we’ll be observing nocturnal insects, such as moths and beetles. The 25th, we’ll turn our eyes to the night skies in search of spring time constellations and beyond. No registration needed. Meet at the Nature Center flag pole at 9pm to walk together.

Sand Castle Wars: Battle of the Kiawah Beach

Join us at the Sanctuary Beach Access to see if your fort will be the last one standing. Fort building begins at 1pm, the battle will commence at 2:15pm. Each team will be given all fort building supplies, water balloons, and a designated space. Discovery Series: Center for Birds of Prey

This program will provide an up close look at live birds of prey including a free-flight demonstration. Jedi Training Academy

Join our Jedi Master to learn the ways of the Force in this exciting program! Young Jedis will make their own lightsaber that is safe for sparring, receive lightsaber training and begin to learn the ways of the Force, face off in friendly competition, and even have the chance to face one of the Empire’s darkest figures in battle to save Planet Kiawah! Recommended for ages 5-14. Advanced reservations are required. $25/person
