Due to the anticipated impacts of Tropical Storm Isaias to the South Carolina coastline, Kiawah Island Golf Resort will operate with the following modifications on Monday, August 3rd, 2020.

Loggerhead Bar & Grill and pool service at The Sanctuary are closed for the day.

West Beach Cantina and Night Heron Grill are closed for the day.

The following restaurants will be suspending service at 5pm:
Ryder Cup Bar at The Ocean Course
Cherrywood BBQ & Ale House at Osprey Point
The Players’ Pub at Cougar Point

Dining at Jasmine Porch and Beaches & Cream at The Sanctuary, as well as Turtle Point and Town Center Market will continue with regularly scheduled hours.

Night Heron and West Beach pools are closed for the day.

The 4:30 – 5:30 Family Tie Dye session is canceled for today.

Recreation Beach Services are closed for the day.

Bicycle operations are closing at noon for the day.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort Operations Update Effective August 3, 2020

The Town of Kiawah has issued an ordinance effective July 1st requiring face coverings to be worn in all indoor public areas. Exceptions to this rule will be for young children and when actively eating or drinking. We encourage you to bring your own face covering. However, should you not have one you may obtain one at either the Front Desk or Concierge Desk, as well as The Sanctuary Valet.

In anticipation of your arrival, our Service Professionals are working daily behind the scenes preparing the hotel and taking every precaution to ensure the well-being of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you to experience our unparalleled accommodations and services.

Modified Housekeeping Services
Once a guest has checked into their room, our staff will not enter the room for the duration of the guest’s visit, including daily housekeeping services. Fresh towels and bath amenities will be delivered anytime to a guest’s door upon request. Nightly turndown service is also currently suspended. Thank you for your understanding as we have put these measures in place to protect your safety as well as that of our employees.

Sanctuary Guest Beach and Pool Services
Chair and umbrella service will be available with seating restrictions at both the outdoor pool and Sanctuary beach access.

The Sanctuary pools and fitness center are reserved for hotel guests only, and will operate with restricted use. Villa and Home guests are encouraged to reserve their beach services via the link listed in the Recreation section below.

Retail Shops at The Sanctuary
Select retail stores within The Sanctuary are open with restricted occupancy, allowing for safe social distancing.

  • Osprey Point, Cougar Point, Oak Point and Turtle Point are currently open for play. Carts are permitted. Beverage cart service is currently available (9 AM – 5 PM).
  • The Ocean Course is currently open for play.
  • Beverage cart service at The Ocean Course is currently available (9 AM – 5 PM). Limited food offerings are also available (11 AM – 5 PM).
  • The Tommy Cuthbert Golf Learning Center Professional Staff is currently providing golf lessons. Please call the Learning Center at 843.266.4030 for more information (Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM).
  • Golf Pro Shops will remain closed with remote outdoor check-in service.

While our pro shops are closed, we’re offering Retail Curbside Pickup for all your pro shop essentials.
Order all your favorite Kiawah Island Golf Resort merchandise online and pick it up curbside – use code PICKUP at checkout.


Our online pick up site is located at Osprey Point Clubhouse, and is open Monday – Friday from 11 AM – 4 PM. Orders will be available for pick up 24 hours after they are purchased.

The Kiawah Golf Shop and Signature Oak at The Sanctuary are open for Kiawah Island Golf Resort and 2021 PGA merchandise.


We are currently accepting reservations for bike rentals and beach services, and are offering a selection of Recreation and Nature activities. View our Calendar of Events for a complete listing of the daily activities. See below for updates regarding pools.

  • Bike Rentals — By Reservation Only. Reserve Here.  All bicycles are sold out until Monday, August 3rd. Please note: Online bike reservations are currently only available to guests of Kiawah Island Golf Resort and Governor’s Club members. You will be required to enter your valid reservation number or membership number before completing your online reservation.
    If you are a not a resort guest or Governor’s Club member, and would like to reserve a bicycle, please call (843) 768-6001.
  • Beach Chair & Umbrella Service — By Reservation Only. Reserve Here.  Resort Beach Services sold out until  Saturday, August 1st. Guests of The Sanctuary receive complimentary beach services and do not need to reserve in advance.
  • Turtles’ Nest Art Studio is now open Monday – Friday. Drop in for Art in the Park anytime between 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Also offering Art To-Go | 11 AM – 3 PM. Order here.
  • Youth Programs – Featuring Archery, Paddle Boarding and Beach Activities. Ages 8 to 15. Monday – Friday. Reservations required.
  • Our Recreation team can be reached at 843.768.6001 between 8:30 AM – 5 PM.


Night Heron Family and Children’s Pools, and West Beach Pool are currently open.

Pools are exclusive to Kiawah Island Golf Resort guests and Governor’s Club members. Please have your resort confirmation or club membership number available when you call to make a reservation.

Reservations are required and may be made beginning at 8:30 AM one day prior to requested swim session date.

  • Each family is permitted to make reservations for one swim session per day.
  • Social distancing guidelines between families are enforced in the pool and on the pool deck.
  • Once a reservation is made, if your plans change at any time, we ask that you call to cancel your reservation.
  • For upcoming swim times, or to make reservations, please call 843.768.6001.

The Spa at The Sanctuary

The salon is currently open for manicures, pedicures, and hair services. Call 843.768.6299 to book your appointment.

All Covid-19 safety recommendations for cosmetology will be observed. Guests and salon staff will be required to wear masks. If you do not have a mask, one will be issued to you upon arrival.

Please note that spa facilities – showers, steam room, sauna, mineral whirlpool, and relaxation lounges – are currently closed.

The Spa is now offering a streamlined menu of its most pampering massages and facials, which can be viewed here.

Spa amenities will remain closed at this time, including showers, steam rooms, saunas, mineral whirlpools, and relaxation lounges. Massages and Facials will be discounted 15% because of the facility closures.

Due to the intimate nature of spa services, masks must be worn by staff and guests at appropriate times during the spa visit.

The Roy Barth Tennis Center

The Roy Barth Tennis Center is currently open.
The Tennis Pro Shop will remain closed with remote outdoor check-in service available from 8:00am – 4:00pm.

The Roy Barth Tennis Center is currently offering modified lessons and clinics for adults and junior players. Private lessons and court rentals are available. Please call the pro shop front desk at 843.768.2838.

PalmettoPriorityWe are pleased to offer dining options at several of our resort restaurants with modified services. Below you will find details pertaining to each outlet, including current menus and hours, and whether each outlet is providing to-go orders or seated dining.

To place a to-go order, guests must call the restaurant directly with the numbers listed below. In order to offer the best possible service, walk up orders are not permitted at this time. Guests will not be allowed to dine in resort restaurants or common areas unless otherwise specified.

We are pleased to also offer unopened beer and wine for purchase as an extension of our to-go service. Valid ID required.

All to-go menus will have a 15% service fee included.
