Kiawah's Exciting Island-Wide Expansion
Since we welcomed our first guests in 1976, Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s mission has always been to provide each guest with an unparalleled experience through our caring, gracious service—in the tradition of genuine southern hospitality—and through world-class amenities and facilities. True to that spirit, we fully renovated all five of our championship golf courses and are now in the midst of an island-wide expansion, adding a collection of stunning new resort buildings and improvements that enhance our already exceptional offerings.
West Beach Conference Center
Paying homage to the enduring classical architectural tradition found throughout the South Carolina Lowcountry, the conference center offers more than 23,000 square feet of pre-event and meeting space. The new facility complements the already highly acclaimed and diverse venues and amenities offered to groups hosted by the resort.
Villa Registration
Conveniently located at 2 Shipwatch Road, Kiawah Island, SC–all villa and home guests will now be greeted at the lovely villa registration at the beginning of their stay, just steps from the new conference center and the restaurant and amenities at Cougar Point Clubhouse.
The Sanctuary Chapel
With seating for 150, the chapel offers weekly non-denominational services and serve as yet another resort wedding venue.
Cougar Point Clubhouse
Following the renovation of this Gary Player-designed course in 2017, the focus turned to the clubhouse to elevate the complete golf experience. Situated on a prominent knoll overlooking the 18th
hole, this fully reimagined classic clubhouse is the perfect venue for pre-round preparation and post-round relaxation. Golfers will enjoy the fully
stocked pro shop and comfortable locker rooms. And everyone is invited to indulge in their comfort food cravings at the 125-seat Players’ Pub with full bar.
Roy Barth Tennis Center
With 10 new Har-Tru courts and the resurfacing of 12 previously existing courts, the expanded Roy Barth Tennis Center features a total of 22 courts to serve as the home base for the resort’s award-winning tennis instruction and for guests to fully enjoy the game they love. All 10 Har-Tru courts benefit from HydroCourt technology, which keeps the clay consistently hydrated throughout the day, improving the playing surface and also conserving water. Adding greater flexibility to the resort’s world-class tennis programs, a total of 10 courts—including nine clay and one hard—are now lighted and another four courts are lined for pickleball.
The Ocean Course Cottages
Experience a highly personalized and distinctive golf experience. Four new two-story, four-bedroom cottages just steps from The Ocean Course Clubhouse beckon guests with commanding views of this iconic golf course.
The Nest Market & Café
The resort is pleased to unveil our newest addition, The Nest Market & Café. Located in the heart of bustling Night Heron Park, the island's social center, The Nest provides an array of goods, including grocery staples and must-have sundries for the beach and pool. Dining options for eat-in or take-out include made-to-order gourmet sandwiches and salads, as well as prepared to-go family meals for guests to enjoy later in their Villa or Home accommodations. Delectable baked goods made fresh from scratch on-site perfectly complement fresh-brewed gourmet coffee to enjoy over the morning newspaper. An extensive menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items are served to savor either indoors or outdoors on The Nest's wide, live oak-shaded porch.
