Escape Box Experience: Lowcountry Investigator

If you’re looking for a program you can really sink your teeth into, sign up for our tabletop escape experience! You will be tasked with using fun and factual information about alligators posted around the room to solve a series of clues provided at your team table. Do you have what it takes to chomp down on the solution that will get you into the naturalist’s locked case before time is up?

Bring the family along and experience the unique coastal habitat of the Kiawah River! Led by a professional Naturalist, you and your family can learn all about the beautiful ecology of our tidal estuary from the comfort of a tandem boat. Be sure to look out for dolphins, birds, and even turtles as your Naturalist guides you through your curiosities!

Geared toward adults and older children who can kayak for a full 1.5 to 2 hrs. Participants must be 8 years old or older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth Archery Lesson

Join us on the archery range to try your skills. Enjoy a staff instructed lesson with various stationary targets and interactive games! Great for Beginners.

Shelling Expedition
2 – 4pm
South Carolina’s beautiful coastal ecosystem provides a variety of unique and interesting marine mollusks. Accessible only by boat, our Naturalists will escort you to a remote barrier island known for its abundance of shells. Important to our delicate coastline, we encourage photographs and apply shell-collecting limits to help conserve the beach and its inhabitants for future generations.

Wildlife in the Wetlands Bike Tour

Join a Kiawah Island Naturalist on a 7-mile bike tour to discover the fascinating wildlife that inhabits Kiawah’s diverse ecosystems.
