Independence Day Festival

This festival will kick off following the Annual Bike Parade at Night Heron Park with many attractions for family and friends to enjoy! Festivities include live music, carnival games, inflatables, a photo booth, and more! Don’t forget about our watermelon eating contest at 7pm! Fireworks start promptly at 9:15pm.

Food and beverage tickets will be on sale at the park starting at 4pm. Food will be served until 9 pm, featuring a cookout menu inspired by traditional holiday favorites. Food prices range from $5-$15. Night Heron Grill will close for food service at 4 pm; bar will be open until 9:30 pm.

During the festival, be certain to visit with the 2nd Regiment, South Carolina Continental Line located on the Night Heron Park Deck. On display will be revolutionary war muskets, equipment and clothing worn by regular soldiers, militia and riflemen. The Regiment is proud to share stories of the American Revolution and the lives of the soldiers, and families that marched with them. Muskets will be shot as part of the day’s celebration.

This event, as well as gate access during this time, is limited to Kiawah Island guests and residents. Admission to the festival is complimentary. No reservations necessary. Select attractions and crafts $3 – $15. No coolers permitted at any 4th of July events. We ask that you leave pets at home during fireworks for their comfort and safety. The flying of drones in fireworks areas is prohibited. Schedule subject to change.
