Kiawah Island Bringing Indoor Fun
Long renowned for its golf, racquet sports, beach, and outdoor nature adventures, guests will welcome Kiawah Island Golf Resort bringing indoor fun to their itineraries. Night Heron Park has served as the epicenter for family vacations, hosting Camp Kiawah for Kids, an expansive pool complex and fitness center, the recently added Nest Market | Café, locations for adventure activities like archery, sports fields, numerous festivals, and the Heron Park Nature Center, and Turtles’ Nest Art Studio.
Now Kiawah Island Golf Resort has broken ground on a multipurpose activity center that will allow Kiawah Island to bring new indoor fun activities for resort guests and island residents. The center will host a renewed Nature Center, but also more expansive indoor pursuits perfect for after sunset and the occasional rainy day — or even when folks are simply ready for a short break from the subtropical sun.
Nestled beside the Night Heron pool complex and The Nest, the building will also house a variety of amenities. An eight-lane bowling alley will anchor the center with a casual, family-friendly pub providing indoor and outdoor dining. An old-school arcade, including billiards and shuffleboard, will offer a laid-back way for whiling away time. Attached to the Nature Center, an improved art studio will provide a dedicated space for guests to explore their creative side. Then two GOLFZON golf simulators will allow guests to exercise their game indoors — and even take a swing at some of their favorite bucket-list courses like The Ocean Course.
If you venture to Night Heron Park, you will notice construction activity, so building has already begun. Kiawah Island Golf Resort looks forward with great anticipation to opening the doors to this exciting new amenity in 2025.
