Great Meeting Spaces at Kiawah
While many people know of the great meeting spaces at The Sanctuary, here are some great meeting/reception/wedding spaces on other areas of the resort:
The Ocean Course Clubhouse
Kiawah’s renowned Ocean Course graces one of the most extraordinarily beautiful parcels of land ever devoted solely to golf. In 2007, the resort opened this five-star-caliber clubhouse fit for The Ocean Course’s magnificent setting.
Situated adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean and 150 feet from the 18th green, the new clubhouse has been designed to augment The Ocean Course’s stature in the game of golf and provide a stage befitting major professional golf events.
Noted architecture firm Robert A. M. Stern Architects has designed the clubhouse, which is part of the resort’s ongoing commitment to providing its guests with the finest amenities and services.
With spectacular views of the ocean and The Ocean Course’s 18th green, this stylish clubhouse offers a truly memorable setting for meetings. Low-profile rooflines, wraparound porches and shingle-style architectural details suggest a classic coastal cottage, while the elegant interior features over 3,000 square feet of flexible and sophisticated meeting space on the second floor.
Also located at the clubhouse are The Atlantic Room, offering fine dining in the evening, The Ryder Cup Bar and a spacious veranda.
Offering 1,686 square feet of space, the PGA Room easily accommodates 88 people for banquets, 84 for theater-type presentations and 36 in classroom settings.
Named in honor of The Ocean Course’s legendary designer, Pete Dye and his wife Alice, the Dye Boardroom offers an elegant setting for high-level board meetings and executive retreats.
With 792 square feet of space adjacent to the PGA meeting rooms this area provides the ideal stage for pre-function events. Wireless Internet service is available throughout The Ocean Course Clubhouse.
