Registration will open on September 1st.
PGA Professionals* from all across the U.S., along with three of their members, will tee it up during the 20th Annual Kiawah Island Golf Resort National Pro-Am. The 72-hole stroke play event, presented by Club Car, will be held on four of Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s championship courses: Pete Dye’s world-famous Ocean Course, Clyde Johnston’s Oak Point, Tom Fazio’s Osprey Point, and Gary Player’s Cougar Point.
The tournament format includes four-man best ball gross and net team competitions, as well as professional stroke play. Prizes are awarded to the top gross and net teams, while professionals also compete for a separate purse. Players will use 75% of their USGA handicap, with a maximum Course Handicap of 18 allowed. PGA Professionals may bring up to six amateurs. The professional’s score will be used for each 3-man team. We will utilize a four course daily rotation with the max. number of entries for 80 teams. Rounds 1, 2 & 3 will be straight times (9:00 – 12:10) with the final round an 8:30 shotgun at each course.
We are very excited as Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s continued commitment to enhancing the guest experience will be seen throughout the resort. Many of our projects are underway, including a complete renovation of the West Beach Village featuring: a new 150 room hotel, a new conference center and Villa Check-In, along with the nearly completed Cougar Point Club House. Additional projects throughout the island include: four Ocean Course Cottages, the Sanctuary Chapel, Night Heron Park renovations, and expansion of the Roy Barth Tennis Center.
Completed entries must be received at Kiawah Island Golf Resort not later than February 1, 2019.
Note: USGA handicaps are required.
The new Rules of Golf for 2019 will govern all play. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new rules of golf, as they will have changed significantly.
