DESCRIPTION:Witness exhilarating flight demonstrations of some of the most remarkable creatures on earth. Experience the breathtaking beauty of these extraordinary birds and recognize the vital importance of their conservation. Nurture your knowledge and enjoyment of nature with us. \nAs part of the Kiawah Conservancy’s Earth Day Celebration\, this event is complimentary and no reservations are required.  Beach chairs or blankets are recommended. \nThe Center for Birds of Prey is an incredible organization focused on multiple solutions to help nurture threatened or at-risk species back to health – whether that is an individual hawk or an entire raptor population. While they are mostly known for the incredible events hosted throughout the year in Charleston\, this nonprofit offers more to southeastern conservation than can even fit within this article. Their Avian Medical Clinic provides much needed care and rehabilitation for the majority of injured birds of prey and shorebirds in the South Carolina area. Meanwhile\, their Avian Conservation Center has been recording the sightings of Swallow-tailed kites – a rare bird which occupies only 20% of its native range – for over 20 years to document their vital habitats. From education\, to research\, to rehabilitation\, the Center for Birds of Prey is truly a gem for not only South Carolina\, but for the Southeast as a whole; we are extremely happy to have them show us the abilities and adaptations of these magnificent creatures while learning to further appreciate the need for conservation.

SUMMARY:Private Swimming Lessons
DESCRIPTION:Make sure your kids can take part in all the fun. Allow one of our trained instructors to teach your children the basics of swimming or help your swimmer perfect their stroke. Our private lessons are perfect for swimmers who need a more individualized and personalized swim or stroke lesson. All instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR. \n$40/person for 30 minute lesson. Ages 3 and up. Reservations required\, 843.768.6001\, 24-hour cancellation policy applies.  Optional drop off at Kamp Kiawah for existing Kamp reservations only after completion of lesson.
