Six Years of the Friendship Cup

When the Friendship Cup at Kiawah Island Golf Resort started back in 2007 no one knew that this would become a great golf event that golfers look forward to. For many, the Friendship tournament is a key part of their annual golf calendar, offering the chance to play on the famous Ocean Course, which will host the PGA Open later this year. Here’s what previous Friendship golf participants say about the tournament:

  • It’s one of my favorite events of the year, and I cannot wait to go back again – Tom Nolan,  Publisher, Golf World Magazine, 2007 co-champion
  • The setting, accommodations, hospitality, branding and overall event are nothing short of spectacular. – Royce Imhoff, 2008 Friendship Cup Co-Champion
  • Despite the scores, by the end of the weekend there was something worth celebrating, somewhere our parents were looking down and smiling & happy that two brothers separated by time and distance had grown exponentially closer, all because of a weekend of golf. – Island Eye News Vol. 3 Issue 22.  © 2008 Richard Hricik

This year’s Friendship Cup takes place March 1-4 and will include:

  • Golf on Ocean Course and Osprey Point
  • A cornhole competition
  • An oyster roast and barbecue
  • The awards dinner

See you there!
